PLMGSS has been my school since like forever (: Its a special school to me because , we have the G.R.A.C.E values ! (: So , heres to tell those people reading this awesome post , what the G.R.A.C.E values are all about (:
GODLINESS
‘To live a life that is pleasing to God , virtuous and upright” . Not many school in Singapore are christian schools and I feel really proud to be in a school where there’s such a good culture and environment for me to study in . Enforcing Godliness in our school values and as the first , PL shows that everything we do , brings glory to God . Even our school mission “To nurture every PL Lite into a whole person, who lives in favour with God & Man .” we put God first. Having Godliness implemented in our school , we have devotions and chapels even during the midst of our exams to teach us to rely on God . I feel that even though some of us might not be christians , the culture in PL is excellent . In my daily life , i can apply Godliness in everything i do like knowing that there is a God watching over me all the time , already helps me a lot .
RESPECT
“To respect self, others and be respected by society”. Learning to be respectful to everyone in PL plays a big roles in our lives and I feel will help us not only now but in the future when we pursue our dreams as character plays a great role as well as intelligence . Molding us into respectful ladies from young , trains us and places it permanently in us . Many parents at home try to teach their children respect , however most children spend their time in schools and with their friends thus their parents find it really difficult to implement respect in them . However , in PL , respect is vital . Teachers , staffs and pupils alike show respect to each other . Since being respectful has become an everyday thing , at home i can show respect to my parents as well .
ALL-ROUND EXCELLENCE
“To pursue excellence in everything we do; to be resilient and innovative” . Like most schools , studies are important to PL too . But more than just doing well in our studies , we strive to achieve all-round excellence which means excellence in our studies , sports , health , music and character . Having this culture in PL , we learn how to balance our time and plan ahead in order to achieve it . Teachers encourage us to achieve all-round excellence and the school also does many things to help us achieve it in terms of sports and music like our CCAs . For studies as well we arrange our times so that every subject is being studied . It helps our future as the more we strive to achieve all-round excellence , it becomes a habit and eventually , our character .
COMMITMENT
“To be faithful, responsible and dedicated in performing one’s roles” . There is a system that ensures that we are committed to our CCAs and that we do it to our best . Also , we dont change our CCAs and we go all out to train for competitions and musicals to glorify our school which we need alot of commitment as sometimes we dont want to train or practice . Through being commited to our CCAs for 4 years , for the rest of our life , we will be motivated to finish what ever we have set out to start . At home , i’ll will be commited to my studies and not give up when i start to study because i know that i can do it as ive done it before in my CCA .
ENTHUSIASM
“To live life with purpose and passion”. Enthusiasm sounds common to many people as if something most people display often , however PL sees the true value and advantage it will be to us if PL girls are all enthusiatic . For example , when people are enthusiactic , they tend to make more friends and mix around better . Thus our school plans many camps and workshops for us to learn important thing is in life such as leadership and have fun and be enthusiactic at the same time . especially during camps when enthusiasm is needed to earn points and teamwork is an important deciding factor . Thus through learning enthusiasm , i find it easy to communicate and have fun with others . Also , with enthusiasm i tend to have more fun as i interact with others .

Internet is an easily accessible place for most of the youths all around the world and there are many websites or games that enable people all over the world to get to know each other . Even though its very helpful and we get to know many people , its has its own dangers as well . And the main thing I’m going to post is about what are the certain dangers with having cyber friends . Firstly , the cyber-world is not entirely true as anyone can choose to be whoever they want and many people fake their identities with a purpose . However , we may not know who exactly is real or not if we don’t know them in the first place , thus i feel that we should only befriend in the cyber-world , people we already know in real life . Also , like i mentioned earlier , many people fake identities with a motive and most of us don’t know what their motives are and most of the time , we may just blindly believe and after something has happened , we regret and think how we could be so stupid . Thus although we can befriend people from other countries , however , we shouldn’t get too close to them or give out personal information like our telephone numbers , addresses or about our parents . Also if they request to meet up , its best not to go , or else , get an adult or older fiend to accompany you there , so if anything happens , you’ll not be alone to handle it . Thus all these things are done to protect yourself and in the ends , its all about cyber safety (:
